2024
Harris Computer Systems, a division of Constellation Software with 50,000 employees and a portfolio of 500 companies, acquired Vretta’s higher education company, Vretta-Lyryx. This milestone ensures continued innovation in education, while Vretta strengthens its focus on advancing innovation in assessments and learning solutions in the K-12 sector globally.
2024
Partnered with the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) to modernize, design, and implement the Pan-Canadian Assessment Program (PCAP) administered to Grade 8 (Secondary II in Quebec) students nationwide. This large-scale assessment measures trends in achievement across the three core domains of reading, mathematics, and science.
2023
Partnered with the Alberta Ministry of Education to modernize the Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT), Diploma Exams, Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC), and Early Years Screeners. This included the design, development, and implementation of formative and summative assessments for all students in primary and secondary schools across the Province of Alberta.
2023
Vretta’s higher education division (for 13 years) and Lyryx Learning (for 23 years) merged to create Vretta-Lyryx Inc. (VLI). The mission of VLI is to bring together rich experiences and best practices in the design, development, and implementation of learning and assessment solutions for students in the post-secondary education level.
